Illinois was once the land of the Pottawatomi, the Winnebago, the Sauk, and the Fox Native American tribes. These communities hunted the expansive rolling prairies and beautiful tree-lined streams of Northwest Illinois. The prairie chicken, known in the Winnebago language as “Kewanee,” could be found in this region in abundance. So when the railroad arrived in 1854, and the town was formally incorporated, its official moniker became Kewanee.
Near the turn-of-the-century, an enterprising Englishman began bottling and selling spring water from Kewanee that analysis showed to be “the finest in the United States.” Elmer Samuel Good, who founded Good’s Furniture back in 1895, was a loyal aficionado of this pure spring water. With that same entrepreneurial spirit in mind, Good’s, America’s Furniture Showplace, is proud to offer this modern-day natural spring water; for your enjoyment and refreshment.
Available in our Wine Cellar Bistro & Bakery; and at several watering stops throughout our store complex.
